Groundsperson

Position Details:
- Full-time, seasonal position
- Full UK driving licence required
- Due to the nature of the role you will be required to be available for working evenings, weekends, bank and school holidays

Key responsibilities:
- Maintain all external areas—including car parks, pathways, communal spaces, and roadways—to ensure they remain clean, tidy, safe, and welcoming for guests.
- Carry out grass cutting, strimming, and general grounds upkeep to a high standard, ensuring all lawns and landscaped areas are consistently well presented.
- Perform daily morning tidy-ups, including clearing debris, checking outdoor areas, and ensuring the park is guest-ready at the start of each day.
- Undertake regular litter picking across all parts of the park to maintain a clean and pleasant environment.
- Put up and take down signage as required, ensuring clear and accurate communication for guests during events, maintenance work, or peak periods.
- Monitor bin bays and waste areas, ensuring they are clean, accessible, and emptied or reported for collection as needed.
- Work in full compliance with Health & Safety procedures, using correct PPE, following safe practices, and reporting any hazards to protect yourself, guests, and colleagues.
- Inspect, operate, and maintain grounds equipment, ensuring all tools and machinery are in safe working order and reporting any issues promptly.
- Carry out landscaping tasks, including weed spraying, planting, pruning, watering, and maintaining flowerbeds, borders, and rockeries to enhance the park’s appearance.
- Maintain camping and touring pitches, ensuring they remain clean, level, safe, and fully prepared for guest arrivals, including upkeep of water points, hook-ups, and waste areas.
- Assist the wider Park Team with general operational needs, providing support where required to ensure smooth day-to-day functioning.
- Support with hot tub changeovers, ensuring tubs are cleaned, refilled, and prepared in line with hygiene and safety standards.
The ideal candidate will have:
- Previous experience in grounds, commercial gardening, or landscaping roles.
- Possession of a relevant tractor driving license and/or proficiency in operating ride-on lawnmowers.
- Familiarity with the use of maintenance and gardening equipment.
- Excellent customer service skills.
- Strong time management, organizational, and problem-solving abilities, with the capability to prioritize work independently.
